Quick petcock question..
« on: July 14, 2009, 08:47:15 AM »
I found a steal on a sporty peanut tank but the petcock only has 1 outlet for fuel. I've searched on ebay and other places to find a replacement petcock that has 2 outlets like my stock tank but have had no luck. Oh yeah, 74 cb550 is what its going on. Any help appreciated, thanks.

Pingel Power-Flo Dual Outlet Reserve Race Valve, 3300 series.  http://www.pingelonline.com/powerflo.htm  Click on "Race Valves", then "Dual Reserve".  The 22mm mounted directly onto the stock Harley outlet of the sporty tank I used.

This is what one can barely make out there on the underside of the tank.  These are really nice petcocks.  The one pictured has been in service since 1997 and is still extremely smooth and does what it's supposed to do.  Keeping the reserve function is especially nice with such a small tank.

These are not the cheapest but the quality is top notch.

You can put a "T" in the fuel line to feed both sides of the bank of carbs.
