Hondaman, i wanna know if it'll be worth digging up the old thread about your HM Special. Does it continue up to the present state of the machine?

I'll need to keep an eye out for your future build threads.  ;D

Oh yeah, I guess the price of your creations just went up... and a show on the Discovery Channel can't be far behind.  :D

Great little piece, I think they did the SOHC proud.

On a more serious note:  You have such a low tax base to start with, where do you think this money for infrastructure will come from?  From what I hear the US debt is owned offseas....... ::)

Oops....thread jack....by bad.

P.S.
Nice to see an articulate interview on US TV ;)

Not exactly a hijack: that was part of the interview (that didn't make it to TV). Colorado's governor has so badly mismanaged the state's funds that this "crisis" has arisen out of nowhere, just since this Dem was elected. The State has been working steadily on the bridges and roads situation since 1997, and has been making good progress: but a handful of private investors who want to build toll roads and make money on an ill-advised "light rail" up to the mountains recently gave huge sums to this governor's election campaign. So now, we MUST hurry and build roads and bridges with more money instead of the money we've been using.  >:(

hey Hondaman! wheres your proctective gear?....just kidding, thats a beautiful 750 there.

You're absolutely right, Bucky!  :-[

No argument there, either. I went to the Honda shop near my house on neighborhood streets, expecting them to waste much of my afternoon (as they are wont to do) for the VIN inspection. When, to my surprise, they were not busy and did it in 15 minutes, I took the chance to go to the DMV before they closed without going home first for my "city gear". It was 6 blocks north, but on one of the busiest streets in west Denver (Wadsworth), at rush hour, so yeah, it really was a dumb move.

And, I melted my tennis shoe on the #1 pipe and had to clean that off, too.  :-\

Way to go Hondaman... You came off very knowledgeable and that bike looked and sounded just great even missing the parts it was missing.  Unfortunately this is going to be the case in every state because its a once a year fee. So they believe, however ultimately it kills the economy in the state, I wont go into that. Also, at 25k a year for each off duty police officer stationed at each DMV they are cutting the amount of the money the state actually can use to work on the roads.. They really need to start spending better and saying no when people want things the government really is not supposed to tackle.

My 2 cents any way..

Nice work. Hope we can get a video to keep on the forums.

Mark,

Would you still like me to make that video from the TV for you?  I didn't do it yet because of the video on the 9 news website, but mine would be a higher resolution that that one and I could just send you a disk if it's decent quality.

I'm about to head out for Heffay's wedding so I can't try it now, but I'll give it a shot later tonight.

Please do, Gordon?
I called 9news to get it, but they are telling me I have to BUY it from some 3rd-party production company...hmmm... I'm still unemployed, working part-time jobs to pay the bills (and fixing SOHC4 bikes in the back yard, much fun!  :D :D :D ), and can't spend the $$ on that, right now.  :(

I'm kinda liking the "fixing bikes out back" part, though: I'm meeting some of our local SOHC4-ites, what a blast!  ;D
