That IS a 77/78. Check into a Mac muffler. I have one for my 75. Looks sporty. Heavy duty.
As of today 3/13/2012 my original owner 75 CB750F has made it through 3 wives, er EX-wives. Free at last.  ;-)

Is that your bike in the picture or are you looking to duplicate the look of the stock exhaust in the picture?  The '77/'78F exhaust to come up on eBay from time-to-time, the '75/'76 are a little harder to come by.

Here is an example from eBay, listed as a '75, but looks like a '77/'78 muffler to me http://www.ebay.com/itm/1975-Honda-CB750-CB-750-CB-750-Super-Sport-114-exhaust-pipes-/321020643739?pt=Motorcycles_Parts_Accessories&hash=item4abe52499b&vxp=mtr
looks like an HM410 to me.  1977-78.

Man... that's ALOT of bolts to have "left over"... need to either put something in the picture for visual reference as to size, or better yet measure and post the dimensional data for all the "leftovers"...

Just looking at them close-up I get the feeling they are standard threads and not originally (metric) from the engine (Honda).  Maybe some left over parts associated with after-market crash bars, highway pegs?  You don't seem to find bolts with lock washers under them in stock form.

Those 4 top bolts, the black ones. If you left those out of your top end build you need to make sure and install them. Those hold the cam towers in place.

I just got back from a 5 hr cruise on my 77 750f to benefit a local kid and all I can say is my ass is sore. Granted it still has the original seat cover that's stiff as a board and a new padded cover would help but if there is any other seat options available for an F2 I'd sure like to know. A full blown king/queen seat is out of the question, it would just look silly on the bike but is there anything other seat options for an F2 available?

Beautiful paint job, I always loved that burgundy!!!

I have a question for the group regarding the rear master cylinder rebuild kit for the '75-'76 CB750F.  In doing the search on the forum I'm seeing that the K&L part # 32-1458 appears to be the correct part but in going to a couple of parts sites they are saying it does not fit the '75-'76 CB750F?

Is the K&L part # 32-1458 kit the correct one?

Rich, gimme a link and I'll get you an answer. I don't know where you are looking.

Is there much difference in K & L price and Honda price?

I knew you would say that Jerry, I guess I need to look up the Honda part number.  Do you have it for the rebuild kit?

Relative to the K&L part # 32-1458; I found that by searching on the forum for a rear brake rebuild kit for the '75-'76 CB750F.  You actually responded within that thread that the Honda kit was available and you were waiting for it based on a $20 shipping fee.

The 75- (79)? GL used an almost identical rear master. Couple differences: a 'pressure regulator' do dad in the threads where the line goes and the plunger rebuild kit shaft is a little longer in the threads but identical
