here is a photo of the internal parts for the 75/6 rear MC.  That kit does not look like it would fit.

Here is the thread I found the reference to the K&L part # 32-1458 http://forums.sohc4.net/index.php?topic=74622.0 2nd entry from Dunstall_74.

Could someone tell me where I could get a rebuild kit for the rear brake master cylinder?

Thanks!!

Even if it comes from England it ships quickly. If you call the number on the usa site, it rings on the other side of the pond. Check the time difference.

The pictures really don't do them justice, they were the only pictures I had on hand at the moment. I like the way they look, not too large or overpowering, and functional too! I'm trying to decide on the right "clamp-on" footrests/footpads to serve as highway pegs. I've got some highway pegs on my K8 and it sure is nice to stretch the legs on a long ride without having to stand up, or even stop and walk around.

Here is a potentially stupid question for all my fellow F lovers...

I removed my tank from the '75 F that I own to find out that it was actually from '77/'78 as it had a smaller petcock thread and a horizontal spigot feeding the carbs. I have since put on a real '76 tank while I respray the (what I thought was) original tank.

Would the smaller petcock opening restrict fuel flow to my stock '75 carbs? I'm curious as to the change in size but am assuming it had to do with the evolution to PD carbs.

The 1976F model had the same jetting as the K model.

Should be no problem considering the 77/78 F had more horsepower than the 75/76 F which would generally require more fuel to make that extra horsepower.

Thanks guys. I have been running that F2/3 tank and haven't had an issue at all, but it needs some attention so it came off and in its place went the F1 tank temporarily. When I noticed the size difference at the petcock i wondered about a volume comparison of fuel flow.

I figured I will ask here my questions about valves for 1978 CB750F engine.  Now, when I got my guides installed:

http://forums.sohc4.net/index.php?topic=127377.msg1451991#msg1451991

I am researching my valve options.

I understand that the original 78F valves have different retainers than the rest of 750 SOHC; are the aftermarket 78F valves made for the original retainers or for the K style retainers?

Be careful when you ask that because the 78 750K ALSO used the 77/78 F retainers.

I see, thank you.  So what retainers are the aftermarket F valves made for?

I think I will send email to Ken and ask him, since I will likely purchase from CycleX.

I think Ken and Big Jay would be your best sources for info on their products. Throw the question by Mr Head, MRieck too. I have 34mm intakes too but it's the Kibblewhite 5mm stem conversion kit on the earlier head.
