I like it! Can we get some better pictures of your side covers. I was about to make some aluminum covers, but was going on imagination in terms of how they might look.

Yeah I second that, Alan F makes aluminum side covers and needed measurements for a F. I am going to do the measurements, but if you made yours made you could share your measurements with Alan F.

Thanks Gents, I actually spent an afternoon with Mick750F a little while back and I'm developing both a left and a right side cover that flow with the lines of the bike the same way the stock covers do, stay tuned.
-Alan F.

Hey Alan...I don't remember if we discussed it but the left side covers for the F0/F1 are different than the F2/F3 as far as mounting goes...rights are the same. You should probably check out an early F to get the mounting right.

It's a Corbin.  They still sell them too.  I was going to get mine recovered, but the price difference is almost nothing, so I'm just going to order a new one.  That way there is no down time.

This is the 3rd Corbin seat I've owned and I can't say enough about them!  If you can afford them, they are WORTH it.  I have no tired ass/legs after 3hrs in the saddle.  I know with the NOS stock one I bought for my '75 CB750K, 45 minutes riding and I was ready to get off.
Cheers!

HellFish, where are you ordering that seat from? I just checked the Corbin website and there is no listing for that seat.
Thx,

Last I checked they were not available. How about if we approach them to do 3 - one for each of us?

Anyone else interested? Maybe we can convince them to do a small run??

I would be interested. I have always liked those Gunfighter seats, had one on a CBX in the early eighties.

Pertaining to new Corbin Gunfighter seats:

Who's close to the Corbin factory in Hollister, CA???????

OK, here's the deal. I don't jack around. Just got off the phone with Travis at Corbin. They do not currently make the seat or have molds for them. HOWEVER, they can produce them for us. We do not need any certain numbers of orders either BUT they do have to physically have a 75-78 750F for 1 full day. They make the fiberglass mold right on the bike then they can finish the first seat that day. Subsequent seats can be made from that first mold without a bike on hand.

Price is approximately $379. I'm in if we can get a bike to them. I'd be more than happy to do it but I'm in Colorado.

I gave them the number off the bottom of mine and they (Flordia Store) told me these were the same.

Pardon me for butting in, but i find it hard to believe the seat from the SOHC Fs is the same as the DOHC Fs. Likely an easy assumption for a clerk who may be younger than the bikes,  but perhaps in error?

Really? My friend has a 900f.. the mounting points aren't even close, it doesn't open like our F's do.. Really doubt it bolts up. That is the seat you have mounted on your bike?

Who Needs New Handlebars??
« Reply #291 on: May 14, 2010, 10:32:32 AM »
I may have possibly located new bars. We'll see if they match when they show up. I spoke with Chad at Sudco today. Their catalogue has an obvious error in the listings on page 422. He says item 900-307 is in fact the correct bars with the taller rise for our bikes. Someone has posted that the only difference between F0/F1 and F2/F3 bars is that the F0/F1 have internal wiring whereas the F2/F3 are external. If this works out all you F2/F3 guys may be able to hide your wiring if the controls allow it.

Here you go, and as I stated on the "Corbin Gunfighter seat" post, if someone has a stock seat they'd loan me, I'd be willing to send this one to Corbin if it would help make more for all of us.

Cheers!

Well I finally have my F2 running, and running well.  I am quite adept at removing and re-installing the carberaters now.  Boy it don't take much to give those low speed jets problems.  Anyway, after months of work painting, cleaning and other such things I'm out riding.  She runs sweet too.  Here's a pic.
