my newest find... no really!!!
« on: July 23, 2009, 02:20:05 PM »
i talked to a guy @ the beginning of the year, he said he had a bike buried in his garage and wanted it gone.
i called a few times never got ahold of him.  figured it was just talk. then my father bumped into him 3-4 weeks ago and he said does your son still want the bike. being a good father he said YES!  so then i called him a few more times and nothing, messages nothing.  then last weekend this thing shows up randomly......

no phone call, no knock on the door!  :o
guess who?

thanks everyone. it has its problems the owner said.. i just pulled the rear tire off and cleaned the rim.
the chain was so loose i could almost push it together in the middle. and the rear sprocket..... well ill have to post a pick.
p/o said it made a weird noise and would lurch/jerk. lets just say i hope its just the rear sprocket skipping teeth it was that bad.
dropped the oil pan and everything looked great.  top end looked very clean and perfect.
waxed all the fairings and it shines.  now off to make a wishlist for parts i need.  ;D

Queeg,

remember, bikes, like advice are worth exactly what you pay for them.  Don't worry, however, I'll come and take that piece of cr*p off your hands and dispose of it properly.  ;D ;D :D :D

Seriously, though, when you get the problems cleaned up, and have it running right, You're going to LOVE that bike.  I have a hard time choosing between my CD and my viffer when getting ready to ride.

Another good site is http://www.vfrworld.com.

Enjoy,
