Topic: New project..I call it a canoe

I know it's not a bike but I wanted to build it before I can start another two wheeler..

I have 3 kids(19,23,25) and I want to build each one a boat, so this is for my second kid,but actually my 4th canoe..

This one is a Mattawa it is a 15'9" asymmetric canoe,made from 16' white cedar,ash and cherry inserts...

I bought the cedar and ash locally and ripped it ,routed it and glued it,added fiberglass cloth inside and out,and used East Systems epoxy

My wife and I are going up this week to Algonquin park(Mew Lake)car camping to try it out

Y'know, looking at it more, I amend my previous assessment.

That is a BEAUTIFUL canoe.  I used to fish from a canoe in the Adirondacks.  That is about the prettiest canoe I have seen.

Langfords are a nice boat..this one is a Swift(John winters)

Hush..........there is some lab in Sadie but mostly terrier,and she has not been in a canoe (Yet)

I haven't been to the Adirondacks(Rollins Pond,Cranberry lake) for about 3 years.had the canoe in my avatar then...
