Tarozzi Rearsets for '75 750F
« on: May 11, 2009, 08:24:38 PM »
Hi All,

I scored some Tarozzi rearsets for my '75 750F at Vintage M'cycle Days last summer.  Just now getting around to installing them.  They came with no installation instructions at all.  I think I figured out how to install them but wanted to give everyone a chance to chime in (please!).  I don't really see how else they would mount but am open for suggestions.  My main concern is that they sure seem to stick out alot on each side but it may just be an illusion since its only a bare frame for now.
Here today, gone tomorrow.  Make the most of today!

I have the same set on my 75F. The mounting system for the left side stinks IMO. I added a piece the bolts to the mounting bracket and lower engine bolt. I think I have a pic somewhere. I would not trust that little peg.

MRieck - If you have photos I'd love to see them.  Does your right side peg stick out more than the left?

Tony - try this link - http://www.fastfromthepast.com/servlet/the-Rearsets-cln-Honda/Categories - They have the kits.  I think the quality is good.  Definitely go with the folding pegs tho.

Mounted on a 75F. I tried to get the strap I added for the left side bracket....it is very sturdy now.

I see the left side strap at the bolt but can't tell where it is connected to the rearset. How did you do that? How far up and back do these move the pegs?

I drilled and tapped a 6mm hole in the back of the bracket. You can just see the shiny end of the bolt in the bracket in the second picture.

Carpy has had brackets made up that are excellent, have you seen these. Scroll down the page and you will see the mounts he has had made. No drilling or mods necessary they just clamp on to the frame.

Mick - unless I missed something, those look like the standard Tarozzi part chromed.  (The bronze framed bike with the yoshi pipe?)

Why are they so much more expensive from Carpy than from Jim at fast from the past???

Jim sells individual parts, too - great for those building their own rear sets on a budget!  His site also has detailed pics of the kits...
