Went to my first Harley dealer just to go with a buddy and laid eyes upon the XR1200. Man! I gotta say that is the slickest bike Harley has made so far, IMO. I'm not personally into cruisers (which pretty much makes up all of Harley's line-up) but that XR has a real standard-sport style that I can dig. I'll definitely have to consider that on my wish list whenever I have the expenses to get a new bike. $11,000 is just so dang steep. I bet Honda could make something similar for a little over half that much.

Yes, th XR1200 is a slick bike.  The latest tests indicate that it handles great and has a very smooth power band.  It came out in Europe the year before and was a hit.

The XR750 is my favorite HD.

+1 to that the XR750 ironhead is just drop dead gorgeous...and very very expensive!

I would love to have another XR750. Evel Knievel used them for his stunts. I had the one and sold it like a dumbass

if i ever own another harley it will be an ironhead. nothing like the sound of an ironhead sporty through 40 inch drag pipes.

This is the one Harley I wouldn't be embarrassed to be seen on.


I think it'd be fun to modify an Ascot VT500 to look like that.

I have seen an xr1200 up close and really like them as well. I may get one someday if I see a good used one for around 7-8K. The XR, Duc sport classic and MG V7 are my three favorite new bikes.
