Ever see these fuel filters before?
« on: July 19, 2009, 08:18:30 PM »
I picked up a couple fuel filters while moto scrounging.  I have not seen them before, but according to the pat number they are from the 70's.  Anyone ever see these before?

Yep, used to run one of those on my old shovelhead. You could get the chrome barrel like your pic or a clear glass one like I had.

I got one that is glass and a couple that are chrome.  I like the glass one so much that I plan to change out my petcock to run a single gas line.

I saw a few knock offs on ebay while searching, but they didn't look to be the same quality.

CR seals used to sell them.
If you are using clear, do not worry if there is air inside it.

I think some hotrod billet place makes them with AN ends, so you can run Real braided lines.

Anyone know where I can get replacment glass?  I'd like to change the chrome ones over to glass if it's possible.

Try Drag Specialties or CCI.

On used ones check the threads that hold it together, they are diecast with the sides cut off, and sometimes wear or get overtorqued.
