HAVING SOME FUN ON THE 71

 ::) Finally got my 1971 CB750 back on the road Sunday. I bought it from the 2nd owner who had just moved to Chicago. The seat had a massive rip, Handlebars bent, the electric starter and turn signals didn't work, dents, rust, etc. etc. etc. When I first got into it I realized "THIS THING IS WIRED LIKE A IRISH PIPE BOMB" so I went through the wiring and had every thing working in one afternoon. About 10 feet of extra "add on" wire removed. I really liked the old faded tank, but it was too dented and too rusty on the inside. So I bought a paint kit from DON DIRT BIKER (good guy). I never painted anything that wasn't out of a rattle can before and after some help with the dents and some coaching from the Don it turned out amazingly GOOD! A small run on the back of the headlight bucket that you can't see ( Oh well ). Its funny I had a 1971 CB750 I bought back in 1974 and modified the HELL out of it. Now I get a 1971 35 years later and I love turning it back to stock. Full circle? Any way I know I don't post a lot but I am on here all the time and I love this site and you guys keep me motivated to do more and do things right. THANK YOU  P.S. Cafe Bike Next  ;D

Just how do you know how an Irish pipe bomb is wired? Being of Irish desent I take offense to that statement.... we Irish know how to wire a bomb. LOL  ;D

Sorry about the "Wired like an Irish pipe bomb" comment. I am Irish and German and French and God knows what else. I did not mean to offend anyone. I look Irish so my friends occasionally make some IRA jokes about my electrical skills.
The other bikes I have now are 1975 CB750K, 1973 CB750K, 1978 CB750F. I am going to strip the 1978 for my next project. I'm thinking cafe bike.
I forgot to mention this bike runs so good and very fast. Sounds beautiful starts and idles perfect with a minimal amount of choke.

I think I am half Irish and half everything else. Wouldnt know how to wire a pipe bomb to save my life!  :D
