Hello SohRon, I'm in Fort Collins.  Definitely keep an eye out on CL.  I've seen two 550 frames come up on CL with titles in the $100 range since April.  I was ready to buy one but lost out to someone else as it was in Denver.  I'm currrently in the process of re-titling a '75 CB550F so I know of what you speak.

Bummer about the frame damage.

Thanks for the offers of help, guys. Although the damage is bad enough to scrap the frame for this particular project, I'm not sure it's so bad that I can't just go ahead and finish up and use the bike (carefully) while I'm waiting to buy and restore the new frame. It was never really meant to be a daily driver, so it will most likely see very little use, anyway. Then this winter I'll tear it back down and swap frames.
