Maybe it's just Missouri, but it seems that this has been a Wet, Cold American Summer. Every other day since mid-May it has been scattered thunderstorms and weather comparable to the weather I saw in London (I don't know how you guys do it).

Can any other states sympathize?

Yeah, Nebraska has been getting the same, not really wet, but cooler.

Pisses my garden off.   :P

Same here in Denver.  The almost daily Springtime afternoon thunderstorms have extended into the middle of Summer.  We've had somewhat of a break this past week, but the rain is coming back next week.  And to add insult to injury, our normally comfortable low humidity and lack of mosquitoes and other bugs are just a memory now.  Hopefully August and September will be back to normal.

This is a pretty hot dry year for us on the west coast.  Very few days that are overcast or rainy... and we've had quite a few days in the 90's already.

El Nino year.

Is it really? I hadn't heard anything.

And to add insult to injury, our normally comfortable low humidity and lack of mosquitoes and other bugs are just a memory now.  Hopefully August and September will be back to normal.

Hell, in MO we breed mosquitoes. Every other house has an old rotting tire in their back yard with stagnant water in it. So when it isn't raining, I'm getting a face-mask full of bugs every time i ride.

P.S. I love Colorado

50/50

Every morning is nice and every afternoon it's raining &/or hailing. Just finished the 15 minute afternoon hail storm. Pea size. Sun's out now with beautiful blue skies and big white fluffy clouds.

Hitting the road next week so I'll get an early start and make Utah before afternoon.

Northern Michigan.
67 and raining right now, had a high of 59 day before yesterday. Cold wet summer, or maybe it is just a mild winter, hard to tell.

Global warming I guess!(BULL#$%*)

It's called Global (not local) Warming for a reason.  The overall temperature of the whole planet is rising.  That is a fact, not a theory.  It doesn't necessarily mean every day, or every season, in every location is going to be warmer than it was in previous years, though.

It has not been a great year here so far.  Very windy with some cool periods.  My riding has been strictly local.  We have canceled a sailing trip in northern Lake Superior due to cool foggy weather.  We will be going to Montana in September instead by car where our friend lives close to Yellowstone and has a BMW K100 for us to use.

I think we've set several new record low temps this summer.  It's a bitter sweet thing because upper 70's/low 80's and low humidity is miraculous for an Iowa summer, but we're going to pay for it in one way or another.  I'm guessing this winter is going to be brutal.

Well in New England it has been the 2nd wettest july on record, and is considered
crapppy weather if you don't like to ride in the rain. :-\

Yeah, Iowa and anything north will get blasted this winter. Good luck up there in the great white north.

Its just been crazy in Wisconsin. A week of extreme heat followed shortly there after by record lows. Its finally becoming slightly more "seasonable" (at least thats the what the weather man says).
Just sucks that so far this week, rode my FZ-6 to work, and both days I've ridden in the rain on the way home, but when I take the buick it doesnt rain a drop.

Damn you Midwest weather....

Winter in Milwaukee aught to be fun this year if we get slammed.

I hear that... If it were any other community, I would. But when it comes to a fellow vintage motorcycle enthusiasts, there's always room for one more.  ;D
