Texas Riders!
« on: November 20, 2005, 06:39:45 PM »
My resturant, Buffo's New York Pizzeria, is going to sponsor a Chairity ride to Progresso Mexico from South Padre Island, TX. The ride will be held in december...I just have to nail down the date early this week.

The ride is roughly 1 1/2 hours, one way. We will meet at my resturant and leave from there. Our ride will offically end at a resturant/bar in Progresso, Mexico where lunch and drink will be availible at a discounted rate.

The ride will benifit The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. A fifty dollar ($50.00) donation is requested from each driver. ONE HUNDERED PERCENT of the money raised will go directly to The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.

Feel free to ride whatever motorcycle you wish. However, it would be nice to have a solid group of SOHC4 Hondas out there with Kghost and I.

If you have any questions Please feel ask them. If you feel the need to speak to me directly I will P.M. my number to those in need or I will call you.

FYI...74% of the funds donated to The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society are spent on research, patient services and education.

Sam, Thank you for your generosity.

If any others wish to follow is Sams footsteps i will give my address to which your donations can be mailed.

I do understand that I live at the edge of the known world. but I thought at least one or two of the texas folks would show an interest if not partisipate...

I'd love to go. There is only a few things standing in my way...

-Inspection.
-Finishing the transfer of title / waiting on plates
-Leaking carbs (This is fixable, and can be done while waiting for plates)
-Inexperience

and... I was going to say getting my full license, but I have a permit to allow me to ride within sight of a licensed rider, so I should be good there.

So... it's just a matter of getting everything finished in time, and then I'm not sure about work. I may just end up donating.

My excuse is I really don't want to drive to the boarder from Dallas on a Caffinated CB550.
