Looks like I may get there this year, without a bike..

Bonneville Salt Flats..


 Aug 8ish to 14thish, at Wendover Utah..

If Anyone is going lets form a plan to get together AHEAD of time, be harder to find people there.

The plan is to stay at Bend in the Road camp, easy to find.

If you like speed, its the place 2be..

If any oyou near SLC can come out even one night for a few hours, lets meet up, will be fun..

Yup.. that week is everything, including bikes..
have not been to that yet, but Bub (bike week) in Sept was fantastic.

My buddys works for a company that is sponsoring a streamliner diesel from here in B.C. called Golden Hawk.. should be interesting..

Last year at BUB. not one person that I know of from the forum made it, except:
 One lurker that does not post that has a 550 -4, really nice Norton /Quaife, and was riding a Beemer.

One fellow from Davenport Iowa that bought a Hondamatic 3 weeks before Bub, and decided to ride out with his GL buddy. I talked to him the first day, and when I told him about the forum & who I was he said" I am here because of your post on SOHC 4"

So there's actually 2 weeks, huh? For someone like me that may not have a clue and would like to scratch the Salt Flats off his short list, which would you suggest attending? Bub JUST bikes? Aren't there races at Miller's Motorsports during/right after the Sept meet? That'd be great too. Something else on my short list. Headed out Wed and making a right turn at Park City for W Yellowstone. I'll check out some new roads heading that way. Maybe we can meet up there next year. I think I already owe you some beers from last year, don't I?!

There is at least 3 event maybe up to 5!

 Sept is the best bet for bike folk, and you can see the GP at Miller as well in the same week(Plus Fri Nite might be the season closer drags in SLC) was last year.

 The other event i know of is World of speed, and it is I think invite only, the fastest of the fast.. That is where Ack Attack broke the bike record, Ack is sponsored by APE.

 That would be worth seeing,I dont know if anything runs slower tha 200mph that week..

Hmm, streamliner diesel...is that big green bohemoth still running?  I saw it when I was there many moons ago and can't remember the name of it...

Looked like it had 2 huge diesel engines in the back too.

This liner is brand new, and not yet run.
 Out of Vancouver BC area, 4cyl I think, sponsored by Cat.

Golden Hawk is the name (with the blessing of the old Golden Hawk aerial team)

I went to Speed Week several years ago with my TT Ducati. Best fun anybody with the love of fast will ever have.

Most teams will invite you on the trailer just because its always nice to show someone what you built.

Lots of helping hands there too for new racers and people who have jsut gone from cars to bike or back.

 Any of you close by (SLC area) or even a day or two ride away that can get away and ATTEND.
 If nit think of BUB in Sept, think i may have a bike to ride..

I cant see the bike...
 my Windows 98 allows me to view nothing that moves anymore, it might with some work?
