I'll post this in "open forum" since it doesn't necessarily have to do with SOHC4's...
I recently bought, then immediately sold a second CB550. Just wanted to exhaust system off of it for my other bike. Well, to make a long story short, the guy who bought it works for a custom chopper shop here in the city and is their paint guy. He offered part cash/part trade for the bike. As part of the deal, he will be painting my tank and side covers for free an however I want them.
Here is my bike now (pardon the bad photo)...

I really like orange on the bike, although, I'm not necessarily concerned with matching the original. I think I just want to do a one-color job and forget about the black and pin striping on the sides of the tank....so I'm not going for a historic redo or anything. The paint that I have now is quite faded on the top and it is in need of a paint job desperately.
The guy told me that if I see a color(s) on a car, I can just tell him the kind of car and/or paint code and he will match it.
Have you seen any cool orange paint colors on cars lately (new or old). So far I'm kind of keen on a couple of chrysler colors, but my fav so far is the orange on the new Challenger: Hemi Orange Pearl. I've also seen the Sunburst Orange Pearl on the Jeep and Dodge cars, but it may be a bit too red.
Any suggestions? Ideas?
Here is the website for the shop the guys works at.....the bike on the front page is the one he rode to my house....WAY COOL! If you enter the site and click on "custom paint" on the right side, you can see some of his work. It is art.
