'78 550K Cables/Handlebars? Need Longer/Higher...Suggestions?

I'm doing a bobber/softail chopper hybrid on my bike and will be putting higher bars on it.  Any suggestions for good bars? and secondly I will need cables/hoses for those bars...suggestions on those? what size? and where to get them from?  Thanks!

I'm wondering the same thing about the cables for my CB650C when I put some higher bars on it.

TAS Classic motorsports now sells some 9 inch mini ape hangers in 7/8 inch.  These bars are comparable to the mini apes sold by Flanders but at a fraction of the cost (about 30 bucks as opposed to over 100 for Flanders).

I just bought a set of these myself and they seem fine although I have yet to drill them for wiring.  They are knurled at the risers.

Pullback is somewhat less than the flanders bars at around 7 inches.  Center width is 7 inches along the inside.  Riser knurling is on 4 inch centers.

i put the oe bars off my cousins '78 gl1000, about 10" rise (see picture). i didnt have an issue with cables. however, brake line was way too short. i even tried swapping brake lines with his since he wanted drag bars. they didnt work... there is a guy on ebay who sells the steel braided lines and can do customer orders. i will be ordering them this weekend, hopefully.

Who is making the brake lines?...and you stated you put those bars with about 10" rise on them on your bike and had no problems with the clutch and/or throttle cables?  Thanks!!

yeah just go to that ebay link and email the seller. i needed 23" for mine to fit. line was $25 and $11 to ship. should be here this week...

got the brake line last night. the 23" may have been a tad generous. 21" or 22" would have been a little better fit. but hell, i measured it. looks good though. it's a quality part. came is banjos and washers.
the brand on the box was APEX. they're out of Toronto i believe.

yeah, that's all i did. he'll ask you about the angle of the bars. since those GL bars dont angle back much, i said the same angle and it worked out fine.

as far as pads, i just ordered the cheapest ebc's i found on ebay. was about $30 + shipping. i had to watch for those. they're normally atleast $35 or so.

from what i've read on here, you dont want to go cheap-o on pads or they will make noise.
