uh, questions moto-bunny,
where can i get one of those spiffy chrome chain guards? i dunno why i ask, because i hate polishing chrome, but i'm like that 2 year old who likes to ask 'why' a lot. seriously though i wonder if it was a option or after market.
how does that 4 to 2 sound?
and what's up with your seat?
It's a CB750 chrome guard - I think off of a DOHC even. Required some modification to fit but then fit the CB500 chain perfect, believe it or not. The bracket halfway down is kind of temporary, I plan a bit more fetching of a mod soon. The 4 to 2 sounds awesome, I get compliments on it all the time like 'it sounds healthy' etc. lol I don't know who made them 'back in the day' but it's really well made with heavy, deep chrome. They get bid up pretty high on the feeBay when they show up, though.
The seat is just some vintage chopper part also from 'back in the day'. It's a bit funky but I like it - very low and comfortable for me (and being able to touch the ground with my feet is nice. . .lol) It was kinda cool that it uses the stock seat hinge and lock and the tool tray still fits underneath nicely.
Also, I have a lower, more square sissy bar I am going to change to soon as well, I don't really like that tall one.
Opps, I guess I just thought it was Ecosse bike for some reason.. Still I maintain those are some nice pipes, and on a bike like mine. Sure wish I could hear them roar!..
Thank ya - I was lucky that they came with the bike (albeit the APO had painted the otherwise good chrome flat black. . .yuk, such a pain to remove). I should record an audio clip of them - they do sound pretty impressive. Mellow at idle or casual riding but get loud fast if you give it some revs.
