Topic: Bearings bearings bearings just who do you get them from?

As any member of this board would know. I recently blew my mill. For those wondering, no it's not out yet. But my question is where do you guys get bearings from? Carpy said something about getting them from Japan? Who knows.....I am looking for rod and main bearings.

I saw them listed at David Silver Spares: http://www.davidsilverspares.co.uk/cgi-bin/dss2-cgi/Catalogue.pl. I found listings for "big end" (rod bearings???) and main bearings. I've never checked anywhere here in USA and I hope I never need crank bearings! Good luck on your teardown/rebuild.

if someone could find dimensions for them main bearings i would be willing to look em up in an aoutomotive bearing catalog and see if there isnt per chance a car with the same bearing

www.allballsracing.com   Try to find the ones you need at allballsracing.com.  They will not sell you them if they are available from an authorized dealer but you can find the ones you need and order them from some one else who has them.  Do a search under head set bearings to find more authorized dealers.  You can order al la carte bearings from the site as well.  Be ready to have the measurments you need from your calipers. 

If you don't know how to use calipers sell the bike to some one who does for cheap.
