Topic: Points fro CB550

I need new points for a 1975 CB550 and I read an article here on the forum FAQ section that says to only use OEM points from either Nippon Denso or Toyo Electric Company. The author contends that most other after market stuff is "junk".

The only ones that I see on the internet or E-Bay are Diaichi brand or some other unknown brand.

Does anyone know if the NP or TEC products are still available.

I ordered new point sets for my '75 CB550 from Service Honda a few months back.  Using part numbers 30203-300-154 / 30204-300-154, I received TEC-manufactured products.

still available at honda dealers. most have in stock and are around 25 - 30 for points and condensers

is there any place to get the screws that hold the points down anywhere, mine are stripped and i would like new ones

Get the complete assembly from www.davidsilverspares.co.uk cost leass than buying just points and condensers and is normaly TEC
