Steel Reproduction Seat bases for 750 K0/K1
« on: July 29, 2009, 05:02:28 AM »
Hi everyone,

Saw this today on Ebay - too late for me - I bought a new K1 seat to obtain one. But this may put an end to those nasty plastic bases and Ebay rip off prices for rusty original ones. Whoever has tooled up to make it good on you !!  Is in Gloucestershire - where all Honda UK aftermarket seat foams/covers seem to come from - so don't know if there is a connection.

Looks like they don't have the barbs stamped out to hook the cover onto and M6 tapped hole for the K1 spring.

I noticed the lack of barbs but I consider that to be an advantage, lets you use rivets with backing washers, much better imo.
