Did the guy who did it offer any warranty on his fix? Just make very sure to check that thing out from time to time, cracks form from stress and oxidation well before the naked eye can see it. If you're not into jumping curbs
and such, it will probably be okay. Myself, I always keep my frame covered in oil from various leaks, keeps parts from rusting
