« on: August 01, 2009, 06:50:02 AM »
hi,
i have a '72 cb350 k4 that i have been working durring the summer. just a few weeks ago i finally got it running. after giving the carbs a cleaning its starting and running alot nicer. but im still having some problems. when im riding i can get it to about 48-50 mph at full speed. but when it get to about 4000 rpm the bike loses power. it almost seems like it just loses spark, but i just got some new spark plugs. any sugestions?

Is the spark advancer working correctly?
Did you perform dynamic points timing (with a strobe timing light)?
Have the valves been adjusted?
I'd recommend a full service as outlined in the manual.  It usually eliminates many running problems.
Good luck and let us know how you make out!
