New Guy

Hey everyone, I'm pretty new here.

I joined probably almost a month ago now to read up on some posts and now that I've actually had time to sit down and do more than read I figured I'd introduce myself.

Well, I'm John, and I just bought a '82 CB650SC Nighthawk. It runs and everything, but needs a carb clean, new side panels, and a paint job. Other than that, the bike is in pretty good condition. I should know, I bought it in Iowa and drove it back up to Michigan.

Here's a few pictures I snapped of it this morning.

Last of the Honda SOHC4's ever built my friend, powerful bike that was Honda's answer to the new range of super quick DOHC's that were flooding the market and pushing our beloved Single Cams into history.
Most stylish Honda 650 (for my money) and comfortable as a lazy-boy chair.
I owned one for a short time and found the pick-up amazing thanks to the CV carbs.
Welcome and happy wrenching fellow 650 owner.....man we are getting a few of us 650ers now. :)
I think the thing I most like about motorcycling is the speed at which my brain must process information at to avoid the numb skulls who are eating pies, playing the ukulele, applying make-up etc in the comfort of their airconditioned armchairs as they make random attempts to kill me!!!!!!!
