That is gorgeous! I wasn't sure if those lil' led strips would stand out...but they do!  And the gauges look killer too.

thanks, I never made a thread on them cause I didn't have a camera at the time.
they're 80mm white LED halos with the gauge face sanded off and vinyl replacements on top of the clear blue-green discs.

it came out pretty cool.

Your doing a great job. Not sure how far you intend to ride, but I did this before my last trip and I am very happy with it.  My foam eventually gave out 3-4 years old.

I don't really ride for more than an hour at a time, 3 hours at the most.
  I'm used to riding on a piece of recycled tire rubber (cut up doormat) so this will be a nice change.

I made the worlds simplest tag mount.
 It's 1/8X1/2 inch aluminum stock
   There's flat head screws holding the tag on for now.
       I'm waiting on my white LED tag bolts from eBay (japan)


I don't feel like censoring my tag number
put your finger over it.

Hey that looks great!  What are your plans for the ends of those frame tubes?  Some black RTV will keep things from crawling in there, won't vibrate loose and will probably look the part too.

I'm making some shape matched tabs out of 1/2'' thick steel blocks and threading them where the frame tubes are, I want them to curve up a bit to look pretty.
then I'll make an aluminum brace/seat back mount to keep the rails apart and the tail steady.
(it bounces over bumps.)

Made a bracket for 1 tag light. I didn't like how the pair stuck up off the tag in their intended position.




I drilled and polished the crap out of it.
weird... it looks scratched up on the back area of the bracket but that's just a reflection of the cement

Oh this?  I had downloaded it a while back, it's a good pic.  Last night I switched to a photochop of my K3's expected looks...since I've gotten my frame painted I'm finally feeling like I'm making some progress on the project.  Having another bike to ride has really taken all of the urgency out of the build.

well, here it is so far, the seat is a little too round in the back rest, and wide in the base, but the bottom isn't closed up on the underside yet so....

the back is gonna be redone to be flatter on top.
