Did you check to see what main & slow jets are in there? Sometimes the previous owners do change things around on you. Did you ever do a compression check to see where it stands? Just some things to consider...

well, money is tight and i'm not able to afford all the tools i would like to have. ( compression tester, 4 carb sync, et cetera) although i may be able to rent a compression tester at auto zone.  ill check into it.  i haven't looked to see what jets are in the carb.  i assume the numbers are on the sides of the jets or something, ill give it a look see.
until next time
thanks

The jet size is marked on the side or top of the jet. Real small so I hope you have good eyes. The main jet is screwed into the emulsifier tube on my early KO, K1 & K4 model. Might be different on yours. The emulsifier tube is the long one in the pic with the holes in the side. The main jet is actually under my thumb with the flat screw head slot in it.

New or used?  New try Z1 Enterprises.  Used try eBay.  I hate to buy used electrical stuff.

installed the coils and still had the same problem.  come to find out the common running to one of my points was cut in two.  fixed that and it runs just fine.  hey,  I'm not a crappy carb mech after all!!! lol.
thanks for all the help
and if anybody needs used coils i have two good ones.  can send pics of an ohm test if need be.
