OOPS!!!!
FROM Monroe, MI, just south of Detroit

it's a '75 CB550F

came with a vetter windjammer, crash bars, the rear rack and the sissy bar, hoping to sell that stuff off to offset the cost of the project

I have to say that bike is not in real bad shape, depending on your plans it may not cost all that much. All the important bits are in good shape, that tank looks great hope the inside looks as good. Keep us posted, and don't forget pictures not only help you during the build but keep us entertained along the way.. ;)

That header looks like the CB400f header, if I'm not mistaken.

thanks guys, it really isn't in that bad of shape, exhaust is beat, looks like it was running lean, due to the filters, because the header rust pattern.

I wish the bike had not been repainted, as it was the awesome flake orange.

I just have to figure out why I have no spark.

not all of the fuses have 12V on them, just have to follow the wiring diagram..

Welcome! I grew up in Monroe........NH. In January 93 we vacationed in Findlay OH with a college friend. We went north to Michigan to a great diner and saw a huge (Nunnery?) And the statue of Custer! His hometown. Is there an old band called the Riverdogs still in the area? I have one of there shows.

So, the strategy is to lie to people you are asking for help?

I think I'll be busy going for a ride.

Good luck!

Nice score!  Cool that you got the original owners manual and dealer paperwork.

If you're getting differing voltages at various points in the harness, it's possible you have corrosion in your connectors.  It's a good idea to pull apart each bullet connector, clean up the contacts, and then coat them with dialetric grease when plugging back in.

What is that attached to the carb?
It doesn't look stock, looks kinda custom made and shiny! :)
I think the thing I most like about motorcycling is the speed at which my brain must process information at to avoid the numb skulls who are eating pies, playing the ukulele, applying make-up etc in the comfort of their airconditioned armchairs as they make random attempts to kill me!!!!!!!
