Casket Factory Customs - Trouble ordering, anyone else?
« on: May 18, 2011, 04:51:36 PM »
While looking for parts to overhaul a set of forks I have coming for my F2, I found these guys.  Casket Factory Customs.  They sell smooth top fork tube caps that I liked the looks of.  My tube caps are dinged up like someone beat them with a hammer and just a general mess.

So a little over a week ago I placed an order for these caps.  This was on the 10th of May.  Now 8 days later, I've yet to receive a confirmation email or any information.  I also dropped them an email at the sametime asking to be informed, when I could expect these parts.

Their site says, "These are custom made products so there maybe a delay in shipping.", which means to me they don't keep an inventory and just machine per order.  So I could see a week or two between order and shipping.  I'm just concerned I paid for parts I will never see.  Mostly because the last set of Tube Caps I ordered from Joker Machine, they told me they wouldn't have them for a few weeks and I need these parts soon.  I want to get going on this build up.

So anyone dealt with these folks before?

This comes on the coattails of the realization that my tapered bearings AND full F2 fork assembly have been lost by the USPS.  And they wonder why they are bankrupt...

Don't get me started on the USPS....they have lost...Smashed...mutilated more stuff than I have space to write about here. And there is never any help....just a very snotty...were sorry...nothing we can do about it.
Latest fiasco was a BRAND NEW, still in a box , Fairing for a GS1150ES that I'm restoring...was shipped from Israel...had fragile...handle with care in about 47 different languages...Looks like the parked a semi on it when it got here. Of course...the USPS said they were sorry. The only one left in existance in that condition is now FLAT! The insurance doesn't help because there isn't another one! They were quite rude about the whole thing of course...and they wonder why they are Bankrupt!

I discovered that if you curse at the automated customer service it says, "Thank you for using the Automated Customer Service of the USPS, Goodbye" in a real stern tone.  Haha

Spoke to them today, both parts I had ordered were returned to sender.  The shop selling me the fork claims it hasn't come back yet.  And I couldn't reach the one in regard to my tapered neck bearings.
