Im looking for a shop locally in Northern California (Eastbay Area) with reasonable pricing and that can get 70's Replacement parts?

Also if anyone knows of a place online where I can purchase parts for less would be even better. Im currently looking for parts for a 82 CB650 but also got a few other models as well.

Thanks in advance.

Hey Johnny,

In the FAQ section, there are sections for "good guys" and "bad guys".  That'll prolly give ya some ideas on parts sources.
Can I have a motorcycle when I get old enough?
If you take care of it.
What do you have to do?
Lot’s of things. You’ve been watching me.
Will you show me all of them?
Sure.
Is it hard?
Not if you have the right attitudes. It’s having the right attitudes that’s hard.

Local shops often don't like to mess with older bikes. Often the bikes were made before the counter sales person was born. A few exceptions.

I'm liking www.motogrid.com. Delivery is a little slow, 7 to 10 days, and I'm close. I think they batch their orders for shipment. offset by lower prices. www.bikebandit.com is faster and more expensive.

I used to rock HondaParts-Direct.com for just amazing prices on OEM parts, I think I have spent over $1000 with them? but I guess they are kaput now, unfortunately. . .

Honda Direct Line seems to be just as good? (killer prices - only one order with them, so far, though)

Yeah, I have yet to see cheaper, actually - plus, I love their interface. It's exactly like Honda Parts Direct was, with the blow-up parts diagrams and everything (that I often paste here on the forums to show what we are discussing).

Try
Old Bikebarn.com

I would NOT recommend OBB, based on (many) users' negative experiences here on SOHC4.net.

SEE THIS THREAD:

Many users complain of super delayed shipments, lack of communication, poor service, etc.

Old bike barn.com is very reasonable and pretty quick on shipping. Also try TAS Motorsports those guys are really helpful and very reasonable on their prices. Shipping is quick to and I believe it's free as well.

Again, I would definitely read those posts I supplied above, before dealing with Old Bike Barn. A bunch of people say they are UNreasonable and real SLOW on shipping. .. . lol, so I guess they are quite hit or miss?

Never had a problem with old bike barn... very reliable, but I also use bike bandit, normally cheaper than OBB, although they do not carry as many OEM parts for my model 77 CB750F2, as does old bike barn.
I also use a place in Cincinnati, it is a Honda dealer but has a separate parts department for Vintage Honda Parts! (Western Hills Honda, Cincinnati Ohio), But my favorite is a motorcycle junk yard right down the street from me, it has tons of old Honda's all over the place.

I just placed a small order with Direct Line.  The shipping is only $7.50.  They probably get the OEM parts from a whse and don't stock themselvers.  I ordered last Tuesday and they shipped yesterday - not too bad.  I think the discount over list was 15% or so.

Yeah, they are awesome - I have a whole list of new stuff I need to get. The last time I ordered, it was like Christmas when it all showed up - dozens and dozens of parts inside little happy red labeled clear bags with the Honda logo on them and nice, shiny, brand new set of CB400F handlebars. . . . .   yaaaaay!
