hot or cold to make wrinkle paint finish the best

some people telling me to put it in the frezzer I was told to put it in hot sun or use a blow dryer any help or information.

Well, wrinkle paint gets it's wrinkles via differential drying, ie the upper layers dry before the lower layers than as the lower layers dry they shrink thereby creating the wrinkles in the dried skin of the upper layers.

So all in all I'd think heat would be better than cold.  Spray some test pieces and let us know how it turns out!  :)

I've never heard either.  Isn't the paint designed to be used at normal temperatures?  I'd go with the manufacturer recommendations.

I have been playing with it but am going to spray the whole tank at least tonight and wanted to see if there was any old school tricks

it wrinkles better with heat.  Go with the hair dryer option.

I painted a pair of old Buick 455 valve covers once, with black wrinkle paint. I spent a lot of time on prep work and degreasing which I think is key, but then I was rather unoriginal and just followed the directions off of the paint can. .  lol, though I did set them in the sun to help 'bake' them.

They turned out awesome - I got a lot of compliments on them and they really stood out from the rest of the engine. The paint was pretty durable too, which surprised me - I think the 'baking' helped?
