No.

The K's were K's and the F's were F's. Only F's were SuperSports. The only question remaining is...were all F's SuperSports or just the first one?

Doesn't really matter about the SuperSport moniker.

Only K's were k's and F's were F's and only (at least some) F's were SuperSports

The confusion can be solved by looking at the frame plate and number.

A real F frame has the kickstand mount further back than a K.

If they swapped to an F motor, it should be black. more finning on oil pan..  finned spacer behind filter..

Anyone in the PNW want to trade a 70 or 71 engine for a 78F engine, let me know.

An F is and F and a K is a K.  And who said Socrates never drove a SOHC?  :D  There are quite a few differences between the two.. but I think the overall consensus is that what you got there is a Supersport. Congrats.

I'll try to confuse you............C as in CB stands for cycle in Honda shorthand.  The B stands for super sport.  After 10 years they decided to spell it out for everyone on the F models.

Black motor, black shocks, longer and larger tank, black mirrors is the "F" or Supersport

I have found that everyone is familiar with the 750K but not so the 750F.  I have had more than one person ask me if my stock F1 has been modified thinking it was a K bike. :-\  The rear cowling and rear disc are the oblivious giveaways.  To some people it seems any 750 is a K bike.

Easy answer. The 75 CB750F is OFFICIALLY listed by Honda as a 1975 CB750K0 Super Sport.
As of today 3/13/2012 my original owner 75 CB750F has made it through 3 wives, er EX-wives. Free at last.  ;-)

Easy answer. The 75 CB750F is OFFICIALLY listed by Honda as a 1975 CB750K0 Super Sport.

Helps to post references.

My OFFICIAL Honda Motorcycle Identification Guide (copyright American Honda) lists the 1975F as CB750F 750 Super Sport with "CB750F0" in parenthesis. Did you mean "F0" rather than "K0"?

Oddly, it lists all Fs as Super Sports. But none of them have an F# except the 1975 which is F0.

Just an added factoid, the 75 and 76 SS were both silver engines, black coming on the 77 and 78, switching back to silver for the DOHC model till 82 went black again.

Perhaps just trivia but try this one link.

http://www.cmsnl.com/honda-cb750f-750-super-sport-k0-us_model493/partslist/

Call your local Honda parts guy and ask him to look up a 1975 CB750F. He will likely tell you there wasn't a 1975 CB750F, that they first came out in 1976. He is probably younger than our bikes and just doesn't know. Then ask him if his parts system lists a 1975 Cb750 K0 Super Sport. Been there done that many times.

I can probably dig up more references if you'd like.

I, too, have 2 parts catalogues that do not state K0 Super Sport.

As of today 3/13/2012 my original owner 75 CB750F has made it through 3 wives, er EX-wives. Free at last.  ;-)
