Yep, that's right. The 250 Jawa engine that my Dad and I bought off of ebay back around March, has made it home! 8) And it was due to the efforts of Kirk (kirkn) and John (jtb) (along with a friend of his). Credit should also go to James (Droopy) and his wife, who offered to assist if possible AND to Jeff fuzzybutt buckykatt for offering his services in ANY way that might be needed.

To refresh you all's memory:  I bought the engine off of ebay, Kirk (kirkn) lived either 1 or 2 hours away (don't remember exactly) and picked it up. Offers were made by James (Droopy), his wife and ALSO by Jeff (buckykatt), if they could help.  Ended up that John's (jtb) friend went to bike week , stopped by Kirk's, picked up the engine and delivered it to John who kept it until he and we could arrange  a meeting time and place. It's been a long time, but there have been lots of things happening on my end (as you all know). So, on the 6th of Aug, I asked John if it would be possible to do the meeting on the 8th. Well, we talked back and forth just a little bit and set kit up and made it at est Memphis, met, talked, had lunch at the Cracker Barrel, had a great time and  we removed the Jawa engine from the trunk of his car, to place it in my van and headed back to our respective homes.    Awesome to put another FACE to a name (Great guy also, really appreciate his help AND TOLD HIM SO!)  8) ;)   My Dad, my Daughter and Joey (one of the young men we I work wih was also with me on this trip and they (especially my Dad) enjoyed the trip, even though we were on the road for 4 and 1/2 hours to get there and 4 and 1/2 to get back. The trip was totally worth it though, to also be able to meet up with John. I hope to meet more of you all in Oct (9 - 11) at the Barber's Museum as well.

                                                                                              This Place Rocks 8)

                                                                                                           Thanks again guys,  Bill

Good to hear it finally got safely into you hands Bill.

Hopefully you'll post some pics in the build thread for us?

This is what a STOCK one looks like (and this one I have, is not going to be stock)

It was good to get the Jawa motor to it's new home, and to meet Bill and his family.

Hey John, it was good to be able to match a face to the name that I've known for a spell now. ;)  But, it s REALLY a shame that you couldn't get at least a SMILE out of that character on the far right! :D ::) ;D Sure can't tell that I was really pleased to be there, can you? ???

It was well worth the wait, which I really didn't notice, cause I was pretty busy anyway. ;)

Thanks again to John, John's friend, Kirk (kirkn) for their efforts and to Jeff (buckykatt) and James(droopy) for being on the side waiting to help in whatever way they could,

You all are the best,  Bill ;)
