« on: November 24, 2005, 12:11:37 PM »
will a 750F front end(with the dual disks, with lower two point mount) work with earlier cb 750 wheel/disks?? or is the radius wacky??/ other issues??
I hopped up the go, now I can stop the beast.. I need to step up to the dual disks..

chippy,i can tell you that a k wheel will fit an early goldwing front end.the k and the gw use the same hub.if the k and f use the same hub you should be in good shape.

Hey Egil, that is the setup I want, but I need to use a standard 19" spoked front wheel.
Are the disks swappable?? i.e. hubs the same??

My bike has front-fork from CB750F2/super-sport wheels from (19")CB900 Bol`Dor , disks and calipers.
Think the F2 had 2disk versions  but l`m  not a xpert on this ???.

1975-1976 single disc wire wheel supersports use the same wheel and disc as a cb750K 1969-1976. The 1977-78 supersports use comstar and dual disc. This wheel will not interchange with any of the other previous cb750 fork combinations (actually it will fit on the axle but the brakes will not line up and there are more brake bolts). The 1977-78 cb750 F forks will not work with earlier brakes because the brakes will not line up. There is no way short of extensive fabrication to get the wire wheel to work with 1977-78 forks (it isn;t like you can space the rotors or the calipers to match, I think there thicknesses are different as well).

It is possible but, as mentioned earlier, requires machine work.
