I don't know what you are trying to prove here but we aren't talking about tax....
We are not talking about gas guzzler tax I merely stated that a new vette can have that stupid tax tacked on to it.

So we're not talking about the tax, but we're just talking about the tax. Awesome.

Let's not forget you're the one that said this:

If I went to buy a car and trade my jeep in they would give me the cash for clunkers value and not its real value.  That pisses ME off.

Both quotes clearly state that we are not talking about the tax.

I didn't forget about my jeep statement.

They'll not get my clunkers unless they pry them from my cold dead hands. I own 4 vehicles. 1983 Cutlass surpreme 350 rocket V8, 2004 Dodge Ram 5.7L Hemi, 1969 Dodge Charger 440 V8, and 1974 Honda CB750K4 SOHC 4cyl. I'm happy to ride a 4cyl. Honda motorcycle and do so often even if its 30 degrees outside sometimes but I refuse to drive any 4 wheeled vehicle that doesn't have a V8. You just can't beat that beautiful sound and living where I do the truck is the only thing I own that has a converter on it and is also the only thing I still buy tags for. All the rest are antiques and have perminant tags on them. I'd drive anyone of them anywhere anytime without hesitation. So they can keep the cash for clunkers and I'll just keep doing what I do and have a damb good time doing it. I'm 37 now and plan on being one those old guys when I'm 70 and still driving around something thats not fuel injected.

Prepare those clunkers for the scrap, please.

Considering that they can see the farts of a single guy with an AK-47 in the middle of the Pakistan/Afghanistan border from an unmanned drone, your 440 General Lee doesn't stand a chance against a few hellfire missiles.  Your moonshine runnin' days are over, Jesse.

I don't know.  Osama has a lot more going for him than a redneck with a Dodge.  Knowing the kind of folks who might live in the holler and carry a badge, it would take one hell of a hound dog to outwit a whole bunch of hound dogs.  A Chrysler 440 is a hell of a thing to hide.  I'm a fan of taking to the woods in the event of an incident but I wouldn't bring a car with a loud exhaust.

No offense to rednecks.  I fancy myself as one.  Hell, I just played nothing but Buck, Merle, George and Hank tunes for three days straight on tour.

It doesn't matter I'm still keeping my clunkers and the #$%*ty gas mileage that goes with that ever so sweet V8 sound. Unlike a lot of states TN. doesn't require a state inspection on any vehicle. If they were to start though the charger is safe since it has all the factory emmissions on it it came with from the factory. Which is not a single one HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA LOLOLOLOOLLOLLOLOLOLOLLOl. Besides this cash for clunkers #$%* won't last to long they'll run out of money soon. All of the hybrid crap they're trying to sell now is all to expensive for the average joe to buy. When you see NASCAR running around in cars that run on something besides gas, that is when people will be driving cars that run on something besides gas.

A lot of people don't realise that nascar is the guinnie pig for future automotive ideas. If you study the history of the sport you can pick up on a lot of things they did years before the automotive companies started doing the same thing. Kinda ironic from a bunch of rednecks turning left for 500miles on the weekend don't you think
