2 Dumb Electrical Questions
« on: November 26, 2005, 09:02:16 AM »
1)  I am using a new poid controller for my cb750, its off a goldwing.  Looks about the same but doesnt have a on/off switch for the lights.  Im ok with that, can I simply take the brown/white wire that is suppose to go to the switch and link it to black (power).  I would assume that the lights would be on all the time then and i could still switch the high/low from the other switch.  Better safety i would think

2)  Circuit tester deal - as i am putting together the mess in the headlight do you think its wise to check all the circuits.  How does a guy do that?

Goldwing elaectrics are TOTALY different due to different generator characteristics. 350,400,500.550 are all similar

In N.A. at least after 1972 or so no bikes had on/off headlight switches, so you're not alone. Just connect ignition power (black wire) to the hi-lo switch and it should work just fine.

Thanks, I figured all the lights went to the switch so if i bypassed the switch i would be ok
