No power, fuse is good
« on: August 10, 2009, 09:35:46 AM »
Hey there fellow cb's I have had a headlight problem draining the battery. After about 10 minutes so I had unplugged it thus making the bike run forever. So I rewired the wiring up the original place for them to be. Now I have no lights anywhere at any ignition position. Fuse is good at the connectors as well. Wondering if I have crossed wiring at some point. Bike is 38 years old has total molestation in the wiring.. wish I luck thanks guys and girls. Battery has voltage as well

Are you certain the fuse is good?  They can look perfectly good and "disconnect" at the end (where you can't view the innards).

If it was my bike, the first thing I would do is undo everything I had done. If the other lights come back then you know it's something in the repair you made. If they don't, pick up a $5 circuit tester light at an auto parts store and trace the wires to find out where you are losing juice. Wiring can be a pain, but it is just tedious, not difficult.

I had a pretty similar problem, turned out to be the ignition switch.
