Was wondering when we were going to get into the Lambretta's Steve & PeWe..
Back in the 50's and 60's they seemed to be the predominant Italian Scooters seen here (on West Coast at least).
The Vespa's seemed to me to come along a little later in the game.  Vespa's were also less expensive to buy..which may have added to their increasing appeal (?) I liked them both (until I graduated to 'real' bikes/motorcycles LOL).
If memory serves here..I believe that Vespa used the "pretty girl' advertisements as one of their main appeals.  In any event..feel that both the scooters and the ladies bring back fond memories.. Have more 'fond memories' from riding the old SOHC4's Honda's tho LOL
Cheers..Al/Ichi

Vespa were srtill using pretty girls through the 80s in their advertising and calendars.

i loved my scooters when i was riding them but nowadays they only bring back painful memories, several of the aches and pains in my legs to this day are directly attributable to those few short and manic days

one other thing, if you can ride a scooter you can ride a bike no problems, it doesn't necessarily go the other way though
i blame Terry
