I am looking for the correct tank and plastics (side covers and tail piece) for my 78 CB750F and am finding it difficult to determine the differences in tanks between K8 and F3. Also, I am unsure about compatibility between the models and years.
Is a 78 K8 tanks the same as an 78 F3?
What about the plastics...K vs F?
I was thinking originally that an F tank from 76-81 would be the choice, but i see some on feebay with fold down arm to lock the gas cap, others with a door and lock, and still others with a cap and no door or arm.
I suspect this info is already out there somewhere, but i was sure what search terms I would use to find it.
I guess what I really need is a perfect close up picture showing the 78 CB750F...but even then, from eaby pics, I am still not sure I would be getting the proper tail and side covers.
Any thoughts or suggestions welcomed.
