Mounting tires and bead setting
« on: August 12, 2009, 11:34:08 AM »
I've mounted new front and rear tires.  Tube type.  I didn't hear the loud "pop."  It looks like they're out to the max of the rim  ??? .  Is the loud pop heard only on Tubeless?  I've initially inflated them to 40 lbs.

tube tires dont make that pop because the bead isnt holding air in, the tube does that.
These bikes dont die, they hibernate until the right person wakes them up again.

They often make a little "bump" sound when they finally set. Just do a visual inspection, there shold be a line molded into the tire that will sit right above the rim. It should be the same distance from the rim (1mm or so) all the way around.
