Can't seem to post a picture, HELP!!!!!!!!   Ihad one that looked just LIKE this one except mine had a 383 w/ 4 barrel. Wish that MINE would have had a HEMI! :( Bur, if someone could give me an assist and post the slightly crossways shot, I'd appreciate  it! ;)

I wondered what happened. I knew that I used to copy something from ebay and post it where ever I wanted to, now you get the WHOLE THING and I didn't want that. Might know it, I get something figured out (finally) and they have to go and change something! ::)  Anyway, thanks for the input on that, Kit. I figured it was just me. ::)

Whoaaaa! Thanks TE, Appreciate that! 8)  Now, IF only I still had my old 66' Charger (looked just like this one, only with the 383/4sp/posi, instead of the Hemi) and pit the old CBX on a trailer behind it and Viola!!!!!!! Beautiful examples of Transportation! 8) ;)  When I cfompleted the deal to trade off MY 66' Charger, I knew immediately afterward that I'd screwed up! And I have suffered ever since. :( Brenda would say,"yeah but if you hadn't of traded the Charger for the road runner, we wouldn't have met. To which I replied that I would have figures out a way to buy the road runner outright keeping the Charger as well)  ;) 8) I don't figure that some folks can see what I see in that car, but, I was struck by the look of THAT one, the 1st time I saw it (kind of like when I 1st saw Brenda (and kept after her til she became my wife!).

My Father had a blue road runner @ 69-70 when he was getting out of the Air Force in Nevada. Used to talk about rapping his knuckles  on the ashtray grabbing 3rd probably. Mom has a few stories of the car as well. It was a 383 too. If he reads this he will have some better details.. That he will chuckle about and not share...???

I've got some memories concerning my 69' road ruinner, involving me AND Brenda, but I'll not go there. ;)  Kinda funny, your Father Got out of the Air Force i n Nevada in 69 - 70? Well, I got out of the Air FOrce in Aug 70, from Hamilton Air Force Base and left there Driving MY (Petty) Blue road runner. But the road runner I had was automatic (my 66' Charger was a Genuine 4sp though).

         Talk about coincidental. ;)

OOh yes, I'm familiar with Nellis AFb, never been there but had a buddy who did. Yep, I went in on the delayed enlistment in April 66' but didn't actually go in until Aug. 19 1966 and was released from active duty on the 18th of August 1970 and Honorably Discharged in April 1972 (4yrs active, 2 yrs inactive).  Went to Amarillo AFB for Basic, Selected Vehicle maint (took a "Bypass test" to keep from going to Tech School, went to Charleston AFB, SC, went from there to Sheppard AFB to cross train from Vehicle Maint to Jet ACFT 1 & 2 eng. Fighters, went to Japan for a 2 yr tour (with a total of abouit 1 yr TDY (temp duty) in Korea (Kunsan & Taegue) and wound up my time at Hamilton AFB in California. Loaded my 69' road runner and pointed it toward Little Rock Arkansas. Only stops I made were for gas (went to the bathroom and got ME something to eat at the same time) and a 1hour nap on the side of the road at Flagstaff Arizona (12 midnight til 1 AM), before heading on into Little Rock and arriving there at about 1Am on the next day. BW, I blew the doors off of an Olds 442 on the way out of Caliifornia. ;D Well, he tried to give me a problem as I was trying to "EASE" past him. He stuck his foot in that OLDS and SO DID I! AND I WON! SUrprised me because they normally ran a 400ci engi ne unless they had the 455!  His must have had a sick 400. ::)
