Dude, Photo Bucket deleted my Aerosmith concert video of the topless girl dancing on shoulders next to me  >:(  Hope you grabbed it already.

Well, in lieu of that here's one of my favorite (payback) shots of Derek's Sturgis Baptism at the hands of 2 lovely bartenders. At least you're not snoring either.

News at 11. Stay tuned for more good stuff. We've just gotten started.

You appear to be having waaaaay too much fun for a married man dude, I wanna come on ya next trip. ;D
I think the thing I most like about motorcycling is the speed at which my brain must process information at to avoid the numb skulls who are eating pies, playing the ukulele, applying make-up etc in the comfort of their airconditioned armchairs as they make random attempts to kill me!!!!!!!

OD??????????????????

I'm going to try and do the day justice ;)  Been out in the sun today on the boat and then back on the black 750 for a bit this evening as well and a few road pos have happened while I sized all these for posting........... ::)

I was up before anyone else and decided today would be a good time for my oil change.
Rode up to the Honda dealership and picked up some oil. Done ;D

Howard ready to go.......

To be honest, this was one of my worst days of riding :P  We went though some canyons and the headed out onto the plains on the way to the Areosmith concert.  The 2 gentlemen  I was riding with kind of forgot I was on a small Cafe bike........, had no windshield, there was a 25 mph head wind with a constant 35 mph crosswind and grasshoppers the size of birds.

At one point while I was getting blitzed by bugs I had a wasp/bee/hornet get into my shirt.
Smacked my back as far as I could reach many times and finally pulled over ,,,.........realizing they were WAAAAAAAy a head I stopped for a bit and sorted out my jacket and stuff.  Had a beer, smoke break.   They could wait!

At the last intersection before Concert Campground.

Entering the Concert Venue "Buffalo Chip Campground"

Some bikes and stuff on display around the area.

I decided I had walked around enough and dropped to the ground quite prepared for 3 hours till the concert.

The crowds started filling in and Helicopter rides were available as well.  No I did not go ;D

the rest later......... ;)

By the time the concert started I had scoped out some space on a picnic table. Great view over all the heads.

The next photos are Howard Newcombs, my  concert shots sucked.

So, some of the power goes off, and there is no more sound and some lights went out. Steven Tyler comes out on this cat walk and does a little dance to try and appease the crowd.  He does a kittle jig and the a Michael Jackson spin and well.........it does not go well.
Steven Tyler falling OFF STAGE!!!!

This concert was put on by clowns with no idea what they were doing.
Check out the safety area where he landed. :o  It's a wonder he lived.

Concert over!

One last artsy photo I took as I waited for the old guys to get on their bikes.
It was a very slow long ride home with all the traffic :)

The next day was the "Jackpine Gypsys" HILL CLIMB  or  the day I got dumped in a beer Vat, or maybe the mechanical bull evening... not sure ....will have to talk with Jerry, maybe he knows ??? ;D ??? ;D

Busy, funny day ;D
We start with some test rides of some bikes. I rode a big Victory ::)
also a Yamaha 1800 "which I liked"

Jerry and Howard on their test runs.

The boys headed off and I went to the "Ace Cafe" that was set up in town.

As you can see, ....... a few more cafe guys would be good ;D

I walked around a corner and pulled up a tent flap and came across a bike show that had just ended. They were packing up biut some cool bikes 8)

I headed over to the "Busted Knuckle Saloon" to catch up with the guys.........yup, more girls...........

She does like animals so she can't be all "bad" ;)

The Busted Knuckle is a bit like the UFC out in the open with all comers in their weight class.
This girl kicked the ass of not one, but 2 girls that day!

Nice right!!!!!!!

Ground and POUND!

One of the men fights. Broken nose ended this one :P

That's it for now. F8ck this takes a long time editing, uploading and posting......hope you are enjoying it do far.

I'm enjoying the posts immensely.  Thanks for taking the time.

What's with the tractors and combines in the test drive pics?  Trade-ins?  ;D

No offense, but I thought most cafe bikes(ers) weren't in it for touring or going long distances.  By definition, they were made for the short haul, cafe to cafe in the UK.
I'd speculate that not too many "cafe" types live in Sturgis or the nearby areas. (Or, they were far too busy making/drinking tea, to get out and ride.)  :)

Also enjoying it Derek so keep it coming! I am particularly interested in the "boxing" - they look like they are wearing 8 ounce gloves - which are pretty thin! Id be interested in resurrecting my boxing career next year at Sturgis ;-)...better get in training -how does it work? You just wait in line?

Enjoying the photos! ;)

cheers

As far as boxing, they just ask that you come up to the table and sign in. Just please wear some shorts. That Canadian dude just peeled off his jeans right down to his underwear. No wonder the other guy broke his nose!  8)

Don't I look like a natural on that V-Max?! Barely got it over 100mph. That 170hp mofo kicks some serious ass! The leader was too close.  ;D

You mean like the crew that was filming at the Full Throttle for the upcoming reality show about the owner having to make 1 million bucks in 1 week to cover his expenses after he had to pre-order $500,000 just in beer??!!
