Topic: Tachometer removal - plug the hole?

i am removing the tacho from my CB400F.  (running a small aftermarket speedo only)

any ideas for how to plug the hole in the engine case that receives the tacho drive cable?

Honda CB750A Hondamatic has a OEM plug because they didn't run a tach but used the same head.  They also have a handy 7/8 bar clamp for the mirror.  Maybe still available from bikebandits.com ? If not, used or feebay.

Will they fit the 550 too?

I'll have to check if they fit the 550. I have a 550 motor here that I will be building shorly for a buddy so if they fit I'll let you know. If not then I'll make a few.
