Nice work! Question for you, did you paint the tank and fender yourself? If so, what's your process? We painted my CB350 tank, and the clear coat is still pretty soft, and if a little fuel gets spilt on the tank, it leaves marks on the clear coat.
We let it "flash dry" between paint coats, and there was about 4 coats of paint, a final wet-sand of paint coat, to get rid of "orange" peel look.
2-3 coats of clear, which we let dry between coats.
it's been a couple of weeks now, and we aren't too happy with the finish. We are looking for that mirror like finish, and a durable clear coat.
We used a compressor with paint gun, and good quality automotive paint and clear coat.
The only thing I can think of is that my compressor didn't have an inline filter to filter out moisture. I did empty the tank before, but maybe some of that moisture made it's way through the line and into the gun and paint.
Any help would be appreciated!
