CB750K0 transmission swap

Hi Will a 78 SOHC transmission fit my 1970 K0 ? If not which is the last transmission that will fit

Basically they should be the same. If you're talking a 78 F-2, the output shaft has a double roller bearing and won't be able to seal an early case with that bearing. 4th & 5th gear are lower gear ratio. Probably some other minor differences, but I believe the hard parts will all fit into that case.
I've done some mix and match and haven't found what DOESN'T work... ::)

You can change out the final shaft bearing to match your case, in certain combinations i.e. shaft has a wide bearing but your case is set up for the narrow one.  There are differences in the locator ring grooves between various cases as well.

If you use all the gears as a set you should be ok.  Some gears sets don't intermix as the tooth pitch or profile is different.
