OK, I can hear you all the way from here... so call me Johnny-come-lately, or something, but I'm so glad I finally watched. Charley and Ewan are super cool and virtual heroes in my book, certainly inspiring.

I cannot recommend this mini series (?), documentary, whatever, enough; go rent it (both discs) now!

I loved watching their first trip ('Round the World) and fizzled out a bit into their second (Africa) trip.  A great series, though and totally worth watching!

I found myself thinking that they allowed themselves to take on too much "extra stuff" (in my eyes) like the people, gear, and support vehicles.  Often times I felt like their trip would be easier if they didn't have so much stuff with them.

good point about excess. remember when the camera guy had to switch to that smaller russian bike? it took the bad 'roads' better than the hulking bmws.
