The Yamiya seat would not be first generation..

That seat cost a few hundred more, than the bike cost when it was brand new.. :o

So the one I got at a swap meet for 100 bucks...is worth how much?! I should e-mail the seller and ask if he wants to buy another one from me for a killer deal of 1k...since "We've all seen these seats sell for 3k+!!!"

Wow.
It is a bit mind blowing.
I just refinished mine and it looks as good I think.
We'll see if he sells it for that price.

I think that Honda changed the seat mounting method as they went along.
Like all the other parts of these bikes, it's best to be aware, especially with an expensive item. I have a K8 and I know for sure that the K7 and the K8 were the same.

Well this guy has been selling stuff since 99, lots of good feedback but the negative stuff has to do with condition and or shipping. He also states a few times that he charges a small shipping fee.. Sorry small? $100? That is hardly small.. This guy priced the buy it now so that no one would.. go figure..

His feedback is HORRIBLE! What are you talking about? Anything much below blood temp = the suck (98.6%)

His star ratings are some of the WORST I have ever seen, too. Anything under 4.6 or so isn't too good at all and he has two at 4.1. You have to be a real fcuk up to have scores like that on the feeBay. That shipping cost is so ridiculous, I bet he could have that listing yanked too, as eBay has been cracking down on shipping gouging. I bet shipping that via UPS would be $40-50, tops, actual cost

Bunny...nice detective work there. He is off my list of sellers. Shipping charges...$100+ for the USA is a rip-off. That was my cost to have my duckbill seat shipped from Japan and Yamiya sends it fast. I think it was like 3 - 5 days and I had it all the way across the seas.

Yea, I guess that was what I was going for. I did not like his feedback replies very unprofessional and really rude. He seem to blame the buyers all the time. Way to build your customer base. You also don't price a seat restro based on the price of the bike but the quality of the work, I mean who does that, besides this guy? I don't care if the bike is worth 100k if its a crappy restore on the seat then its not worth more just cause the bike is worth more. I just don't understand people like this. Wonder if he gets any takers..?

I agree Johnie, He is off my list of sellers also. That seat in the picture just does not look that good anyway. Plus in at least one transaction he charged the buyer for his feebay transaction fee..

Yeah blaming the customer all harshly was the other red flag for me, for sure, and he seems to use every cliche' excuse in the book regarding extensive shipping delays, losses, and what not.

For us, with over 10 years of eBaying and thousands of sales, we have had a total of TWO packages ever lost in transit and a couple of delays. (both shipments to Italy, where they languished in customs for a month, before showing up). We kept in touch with the customers, assured them they would either get that manual, a replacement, or a refund so we never got negged like he does.

Exactly. I have pretty much stopped buying off feebay, mostly because I had been taken 4 times I will admit that 2 of them where my own stupidity. I have been VERY happy ever since! ;)
