hmmmm

now that's an idea, buy a seat cover, and cut away the foam towards the front of the bike.. ..surely it can't be that easy! :)

the K&Q seat I was looking at was 114 dollars which is around 66 quid plus the post on that so it'd probably near on a ton.

So, I might as well try it out eh?

Dont force her to get into biking. That must be a personal choice. She shouldn't do it even when it is for spending more time with you. If she have an accident, both of you will regret. My wife doesn't like bikes and I'm well with that, we can share -not many- other things.

Aye I take your point Raul. She does like it even after an accident (back tyre blew.. ..but we were both fine, bike wentinto garage hospital for 7 months though).
I'lkl be sure not to force her into though :)

John,
It must be worth a try, that is all the po on my bike did, I think it looks quite good. He did it because he was quite short, I am almost 6 foot and my toes reach the ground but it is still a bit of a stretch. How do you get on with the original seat? it must be 1-2 inches taller than mine. I will measure mine and let you know.
Jim.

John,
I measured the height of my modified seat; with the bike free standing and no weight on it, the height to the seat(bit where your bum goes) is 32"

Horrible, HORRIBLE DOHC "Factory Custom" thingies.  Thank God they don't fit!

Rant over

Apart from my 500/4, yes.

But it's not a factory custom (oxymoron if ever I heard one)

So it's not the DOHC you have a  problem with? it's more the cheesy custom thing?
Btw, was the DOHC a technially superior piece of mechanical engineering? I assume so as most bikes now are DOHC?

Honda obviously thought it was at the time - they spent gazillions on the new DOHC range.

Alternat answer "No, just more complex"

It wasn't until the revamped V-Fours and water-cooled CBRs that they really started moving.  The '79-'83 DOHC Fours are a quaint chapter in their history.

My reasons are more that I really REALLY wanted a blue 900 in 79 but couldn't afford it.

Ahh, so it all comes down to adolescent emotions? Why haven't you ever got one?
Btw, are you going to do a post about the charity run? I will send you my pics today, any particular email address to use?
I will call you at lunch time?
