Probably for the same reason we make cafe bikes, and bobbers out of perfectly good SOHC bikes.

+1 slap a round headlight on that and ditch the projectors....

someone thought the projectors are the "latest greatest best".....style wise they aint.

Ah projectors are fine, it is the shell that stinks. Make it shorter and maybe wider to cover the trees.

Looks more like a CBX engine in a custom build. Maybe saved a good engine from the scrape yard? I buddy of mine picked up two CBXs this summer. One has only 900 & some miles! Friggin nice bike.
