Topic: Is it safe to wrap formally rusty pipes?

I have read on the forum that wrapping previously rusty pipes can lead to problems because water likes to "live" in the wraps. What is the best way to wrap pipes to make sure no corrosion occurs under the wrap job?

spray them with high heat spray paint first, then spray the wrap after you're done
