out for rest of year
« on: August 23, 2009, 07:49:34 AM »
if you recall earlier posts..my cb750k2 motor  was losing power.  Need a full rebuild.  cylinders 2 and 3 are egg shaped...so definitely need the big bore kit.  could see the rings at front and back of pistons on these 2 cylinders.  My guess to the cause would be that is where the primary chains tug the hardest.  Head bolts were tight but the gaskets were blown....sprayed off at car wash and was bubbling and hissing when got home.  When pulled apart there was water between gaskets and jug/cylinder.  i have a k4 donor motot i am going to use the jugs and head off of.  is z1 enterprises good source for cam and primary chain parts?  what is best gsket kit to use?  Money is tight, so both these motors are waiting thier turn at moment.

I only use Honda gaskets or Vesrah gaskets now.  Athena gaskets aren't as good.
